Creative Master Northcord Limited has now proudly released the second Mercedes-Benz Citaro G bendy-bus replica with Arriva’s London operations. It is UK5112 Arriva London Rt 29. UK5112 carries Arriva London’s “London Red” livery, representing fleet number MA 140 (BX55 FXC).
Arriva London North took delivery of 76 MA-class Mercedes-Benz Citaro O530G buses in 2004. These were allocated to serve both 73 (CMN Model UK5107) and route 149. In 2005 the company took a further 81 Citaro G buses for route 29 and 38. These 2005 buses featured the white roof panels on which the standard TfL descriptor is placed. The model features MA 140 operating towards Trafalgar Square on route 29, which was converted to bendy-bus operation on 14th January 2006.
The Mercedes-Benz Citaro G, UK5112 model’s clean lines accentuate the square-mounted, double-glazed windows and the livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. Another main feature on the model is the extensive portrayal of handrails. The headlight / indicator units at the front and indicator / tail light units at the rear are made of individual components to look more realistic.
